Property research shouldn't stop at the price tag
When you're choosing where to live, the asking price only tells part of the story. How far is the nearest train station? Are there good schools within walking distance? Can you grab a coffee without getting in the car?
geoscore.com.au answers those questions with data. We analyse millions of amenities across Australia and score every location on the things that actually shape daily life — transport, education, nature, dining, shopping, health, and entertainment.
Here's what we've built.
Property Profiles — a complete picture of any address
Every property on geoscore.com.au gets a detailed liveability profile that goes far beyond a street view photo and a floor plan.
Search any Australian address and you'll see:
- Category scores for Nature, Education, Transport, Gastronomy, Entertainment, Health, Shopping, and Amenities — each with percentile rankings at the suburb, local government area, and city level.
- Walking distances and times to nearby amenities, so you can see exactly how long it takes to reach the closest park, school, or bus stop on foot.
- Feature cards for every nearby point of interest — colour-coded by category, showing the name, type, and walk time at a glance.
- An interactive map with your property at the centre and every scored amenity plotted around it.
Whether you're a first home buyer comparing suburbs or a renter weighing up two apartments, property profiles give you the neighbourhood context that listing sites leave out.
Walkability Search — find the suburb that fits your lifestyle
Not everyone needs the same things from a neighbourhood. A young professional might prioritise cafes and train stations. A family might care more about schools and large parks. An investor might want a balance of everything.
Walkability Search lets you define exactly what matters to you, then shows you where in Australia those conditions are met.
Here's how it works:
- Choose your location — search Australia-wide, or narrow it down to a city, local government area, or suburb.
- Set your filters — pick the amenities that matter and set walking-time thresholds. Want a cafe within 5 minutes and a train station within 10? Add those filters.
- See the results on a map — the map lights up with a colour-coded grid showing which areas match your criteria and how well they score.
- Save your search — sign in to save your walkability profile and come back to it later.
The filters support three modes: minimum walk time to the nearest feature (e.g. closest supermarket), count within radius (e.g. three or more restaurants within 500 metres), and area thresholds for size-sensitive features like parks. It's the most flexible liveability search tool available for Australian property.
Every score is backed by real data
All scores on geoscore.com.au are derived from measurable, verifiable data — not opinion, not vibes. We draw on authoritative open data sources covering addresses, amenities, and geography across the entire continent, and every number on the platform can be traced back to something real.
